I am trying to induce lactation I am only on day 3 but I know I can do it. any way my question is why are my nipples hard all day not like they are contracted just like they are hard . is this normal for breastfeeding? (I have breast feed before but I don’t remember if this happened) also they do NOT hurt a little sensitive but no pain the only time I have any pain is the 1st pump each session of pumping do you know why that is? It is the vary 1st one I do not change the position and I just keep pumping and after that nothing I can barely feel it pumping I can see it just no pain or discomfort of any kind the only thing I feel during a session is little tingling in random places around my breast I am guessing that is like the let down of the milk.
