I was unable to breastfeed with our first, and am now 35 weeks along with our second. I am really keen on giving it a really good go again with this one to try to breastfeed, so can you give me any tips?
Our first had a hell of a time latching on, and it doesn’t help that i don’t have the biggest of nipples (they aren’t inverted, but they are a bit ‘flat’ as the midwife said). I couldn’t even pump, sitting on the electric pump for an hour to barely get a couple ml’s of milk. I saw numerous midwives and the lactation consultant about it, but in the end my boy needed to be fed so he ended up on formula.
